While I don’t claim to be a techie, I do get excited by all the gadgets and tools out there for increasing engagement. This year’s EXHIBITOR Show had no shortage of cool tools for exhibitors and event producers. In this video, you’ll see three of the items featured:
- Wondermakr social vending machine
- See-through LCD touch-screen display from NMR Events
- Augmented reality booth from iQ3Dbooth
In addition, Blue Telescope offered the opportunity to experience virtual reality using Oculus Rift, and iQ3Dbooth let me try Google Glass for the first time. Will these tools become standard fare for exhibits of the future? It’s not likely. But for the right company and audience, there’s no doubt that they will boost engagement and memorability.
I love technology and how more and more trade show exhibitors are integrating tech and social into their booth spaces. Anything to drive true engagement with visitors is a win in my book.
Great video.
How did you like Google Glass? I’ve always wanted to try it, but doubt I’ll buy it due to the huge price tag.
Thanks, Timothy! Glad you gained some new insights from the video. And you’re right … it’s nice to see the tech being incorporated into the engagement strategy vs. simply being eye candy.
Google Glass was easier to use than I expected. But I agree that it’s not on my wish list anytime soon due to the massive investment.
