Even if you’re technophobic, you can’t avoid all the tech tools that have made their way into the trade show and events ecosystem over the past decade.
TSNN has a great article that provides an overview of 10 that have had the most influence. My personal picks would be event apps (when done well, which many shows aren’t yet) and augmented reality (because it has the potential to create amazing experiences on the show floor). On the flip side, I haven’t been convinced about the use of beacons and chatbots, mainly because they have the capacity to be a bit stalker-like if used improperly.
