Weekly Insights: A Booth Attraction that Makes Scents

One common challenge when incorporating booth attractions: often they fail to attract the right kind of traffic.

But that wasn’t the case for Hilton Worldwide at IMEX America. They found a clever way to showcase their “Meet with Purpose” initiative for meeting planners by offering a flower arranging opportunity in their booth.

By teaming up with the company Repeat Roses, Hilton not only provided ideas for creating an easy floral arrangement (a skill that might come in handy for planners), but also shared the flowers as a bit of encouragement with residents of a local women’s shelter. This in-booth activity checks off a number of criteria for a successful attraction:

  • Provides a multisensory, hands-on activity
  • Entertains and educates the attendees
  • Gives them a way to do good for others
