As you wind down this year and prepare for next, here are a few resources to help you stay on top of trends and prepare for your upcoming trade shows.

  • Earlier this month, the Pantone Color Institute announced their 2019 Color of the Year: Living Coral. It’s a reaction to our highly digitized and artificial world, with a spark of energetic color found in nature. And while you may not want to make it the featured color of all your exhibits, it could make a great accent to draw attention to featured information or parts of your displays. (At the very least now you’ll understand why you suddenly see this color everywhere you go!)
  • The Center for Exhibition Industry Research (CEIR) recently released the latest in their 2018 Attendee ROI Playbook series – Generational Differences and Similarities. This 18-page report analyzes why and how each generation decided to attend meetings, how they evaluate the outcomes of the meetings they attend, and more. CEIR found that while there are common elements across the generations, there are also key differences in the methods and tools preferred by each. The report is free to both members and non-members of CEIR, so download a copy and get a better understanding of how attendees of all ages think.
  • Business Travel News has updated their Corporate Travel Index Calculator for 2019 and it’s highly interactive. You can search by city and narrow down by price point and other criteria for hotels, car rental, and meals.
